Decoy Development Level 2

Service Description

Demanet Academy Decoy Development Level 2 teaches advanced movements, drills, and theory to expand the knowledge and skill set of decoys. Demanet Academy Decoy Development Level 1 and two years as a decoy with a minimum of 6 dogs worked with, that have at least achieved an entry level certificate such as a Brevet or PDC is a prerequisite for this course. Students will be tasked with problem solving working dogs through evaluation testing and formulating training plans, utilizing their skills as a decoy to expand the capability of the working dog. Students will use advanced skills to formulate drills to effectively reach training goals of working dogs. Decoy Development 2 challenges students to progress from the role of being a safe, serviceable decoy, to a problem solving decoy that is able to recognize problems in bite training and clearly and effectively use their knowledge to problem solve. - Assessment of Working Dogs - Identifying Areas of Deficiency - Formulation of Training Plans - Advanced Grip Development - Muzzle Fighting - Upper Level Sport Dog Distractions - Advanced Secondary Targeting in Bite Work - Evaluation of Post Training Goals - Formulation of Progressive Training Plans
