Service Description

Decoy Development Level 1 (2 Day Course) Learn the basics of decoy development. This course focuses on safely working dogs with correct sleeve and bite suit presentation to ensure safety for the dog and decoy. Basic fundamentals of prey and defense drive are introduced and students will learn to channel between both drives. Fundamentals of grip development are introduced including promoting a full, firm, hard, confident grip. Students will learn to introduce distractions and pressure in bite work and how to make the dog a more confident animal during aggression exercises. - Classroom Theory - Prey - Defense - Drive Isolation - Drive Channeling - Equipment - Safety in Decoy Work - Grip Development - Sleeve Presentation - Absorbing the Dog - Application of pressure - Common Problem Solving - Promoting Confidence in the Dog - Introduction to the Bite Suit - Primary and Secondary Targeting
